Robert A. Ludwig Memorial Graduate Student Fund

It is with great sadness that MCD Biology shares the news of the passing of our dear colleague, Professor Robert Ludwig. Bob had a 36 year career at UCSC, notable for his unique and innovative approach to teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, and for his innovative research in nitrogen metabolism and the generation of hydrogen. Bob and his family have made a generous gift to the campus. They have endowed the Robert A. Ludwig Memorial Graduate Student Fund, which offers support to an outstanding graduate student selected annually by the MCD Biology Department.
