Transfer Students

The Molecular, Cell & Developmental Biology Department welcomes applications from students who are prepared to enter the program as juniors.

Students intending to transfer must complete a set of foundational coursework to be admitted to the major. See our Transfer Admissions criteria for more information. 

In addition to the required courses, we recommend all transfer students complete the courses outlined in our Transfer Preparation information. 

UCSC offers a Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) to those students who earn a 3.0 in their transfer coursework. You can find more information regarding admission to UCSC as a transfer student here.
